Leads by month, November to August. Moving is seasonal, so summer peaks and August settles, still 7.8x the starting point.
challenge
An established US moving company offering local, long-distance, commercial and specialty moves. They had a good reputation offline, but online they sat on page two. Their average Google position was 13.6, and their main money keyword, “moving companies [city]”, ranked at 15.7.
Key service pages were thin or outdated, there were no pages for the suburbs they served, structured data was missing, and their Google Business Profile had no regular activity and few local citations.
What we did, in order.
Structured data, redirects, a clean sitemap, Core Web Vitals fixes and 12 unindexed pages diagnosed and resubmitted.
Nine service pages rewritten or created, three suburb pages launched and around six articles a month, all linked into the core pages.
A posting plan (16 posts in month one), local citations and monthly map grid tracking across the service area.
Outreach to the top 20 link opportunities, monthly citations, and tracking of leads from AI assistants from month five.
result
Leads grew every quarter, from 17 in November to a peak of 245 in June and 133 in August. Organic clicks doubled (+98%) and impressions nearly tripled. Google Business Profile calls rose from 54 to 118 a month.
Their main keyword moved from page two to position 5.2, and two close variants now rank at 1.3 and 1.8. In August, 11 leads came from AI assistants, 8 of them from ChatGPT, a channel they had no visibility in a year earlier.
